The Team

The team is a group of best friends who have known each other for many years. Tim Wood and Alex Mason both attended Cranmore Preparatory school since the age of six.

In 2002 Tim and Alex met Charlie Clinton and Sanjay Dhandsa at Charterhouse School in Godalming. Since then, their friendship has flourished as they have travelled the world together in 2008, attended different universities and pursued different careers.

Tim Wood

Tim is currently in his final year studying Geography at the University of Bristol. At Charterhouse he headed a number of societies including Junior History and the Mallory Society and was President of student council and a house monitor.  He was awarded the Markus Colby Award for exceptional contribution to his house.

A keen traveler and sportsman his exploits have taken him around the world.  Having achieved 3 A’s at A level Tim took a gap year and travelled extensively visiting 11 countries in 6 months. At Charterhouse he was a member of the 1st VI Tennis squad and at Bristol Tim has gone onto be part of the 1st VIII Novice Men’s Rowing team and an active member of the Boat Club.

In the same year (2009) he climbed Mt Kilimanjiro (5895 m) and his love of mountains was further developed. Most recently Tim and two friends cycled 500 miles across Italy, Slovenia and Croatia and is due to complete the Bath Half Marathon, Bristol 10k Race and Paris Marathon in 2011.

Once finishing Bristol and having spent a one week secondment in Paris for Allen and Overy he aspires to follow a career in law after completing a Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course in London.

Charles Clinton

Having achieved 3 A’s at A level Charles attended the University of Exeter where he has recently graduated with a 2.1 BA (Hons) degree in History. He has a particular passion for sport which was highlighted early on his sporting career when he was scouted to play for Arsenal football club at the age of 12.

For three years (2004-2007) Charles was a member of the 1st XI at all major Charterhouse sports (Football, Hockey and Cricket) and in his final year was captain of both the 1st XI football and cricket teams and led the former to the final of the National ISFA Cup, which was played at the Walkers Stadium in Leicester. In his final year at University Charles was Vice-Captain of the 1st XI Football team, having played for the side in all three of his study years and was awarded ‘Fresher of the Year’ in his first year.

Outside the sporting arena, Charles’ leadership skills were recognised at Charterhouse in a number of ways. He entered the school on a leadership scholarship, viz the Peter Attenborough Award, was a school monitor (prefect) and Head of House; in 2007 he was awarded the Greyhound honour for outstanding achievement /service to the school.

Currently Charles is taking a gap year and once he returns from travelling he aspires to follow a career in Management Consultancy having obtained an Undergraduate Internship with Accenture in the summer of 2009.

Alex Mason

During his time at Charterhouse, Alex achieved his 1st XI Football colours and was also part of the team that reached the National ISFA cup final. Outside of the football pitch, Alex was awarded the Catherine Gygax prize for his outstanding lead performance in the School Musical, 'City of Angels.' His culture didn't stop there as he would also go on to achieve an 'A' at A-Level Art. 

Having left Charterhouse in 2007, Alex started off his gap year by signing to Select Model Management and International Artistes Acting Agency. Upon returning from travels around South East Asia and America, Alex then in December 2008 went into the recording studio with his Father where he recorded a cover of 'Father and Son' originally by Cat Stevens. This single would go on to be released by Universal records in October 2009 for Breast Cancer Awareness month for the Caron Keating foundation.

Followed by the release of this single, Alex went on to follow his Grandfather and Father to pursue a career working in the music business. After completing an internship working for Decca Records at Universal, he went on to work for Maximum Artist Management where he has gained invaluable experience working closely with No.1 selling artist 'The Wanted'.

Sanjay Dhandsa

Sanjay Dhandsa is currently in his final year at the University of Manchester studying Politics, Philosophy & Economics. He joined the university after having spent his gap year working in London for a clothes retailer and then spent the rest of gap year traveling around south east Asia and America.

Sanjay was awarded a Peter Attenborough scholarship to Charterhouse School were he would later captain the 1st XI Hockey team and captain the 1st team squash and golf team, as well as become head of house and a school monitor.

Sanjay has been a keen skier since the age of 3 and has found a love of mountains through his skiing and being apart of the Mallory group at school. At university he is also apart of the hockey club.

Once having left university he hopes to work in the City in Private Banking, which is the industry that he obtained an internship in last summer working for Credit Suisse.



Helen McEwan

Helen is currently a second year at the University of Bristol studying Geography. Helen is a seasoned traveller and sportswoman with bags of experience helping to organise charitable endeavors.
Helen has joined the team and is in charge of Public Relations (PR).
